Sure, Peter Parker has the same voice as in the movie, the rest of the cast is there and it does have its good moments, but in ensemble it’s a poor adaptation, even by 2004 standards. To sum up what little has been said, Spider-Man 2 is an ok game if you don’t expect much from it. Worth a shot if you’re nostalgic and not pretentious If that’s the case, feel free to enjoy some retro glitchy gameplay that will probably offer more frustration than fun. It’s still playable none the less, that is, if you have a low enough hardware configuration for it to run on. However, what was, was because Spider-Man 2 was released a good couple of years back and now, by today’s standards, it’s modest to bad on almost every level. It is based on the well known Amazing Spider-Man 2.
That translates into an easier game to beat but it also delivered less quality in almost every aspect. Good news for all the Spider-Man fans The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Game has webbed its way to Android phones, thanks to the developers of Gameloft. It’s a dumbed down version of the console releaseįor the young superhero fans, Spider-Man 2 won’t seem like a letdown but the PC version actually features simplified gameplay. It’s not that the controls are bad or that the learning curve is disadvantageous for the player, but the animations feel unpolished, combat is sometimes really weird and the AI is just bad. The game is meant to offer the player the Spider Man experience but it unfortunately plays like it has two left feet. After a short brawl with Rhino, the game picks up the pace. After that, you quickly find yourself in the middle of a prison riot where you have to disperse some much needed order using some fairly good punch and kick combos.
In the first minutes of the game, Bruce Campbell provides the narrator voice for a short tutorial that teaches you how to move around the city and fight. Simple gameplay but also a bit too clunky Moreover, for that extra piece of enjoyment, Tobey Maguire does the voice-over for Spider Man. It immerses you into the world of ‘Spidey’ and places you right in the middle of some of his great battles.
Also the Game is only compatible for Android 4.0 version and up. Karine Kaiser, VP Marketing and Licensing at Gameloft said, “After the tremendous success of the first The Amazing Spider-Man mobile game, we’re excited to be working with Marvel again to bring everyone’s favorite hero back onto smart phones with The Amazing Spider-Man 2.” Note that this game has been officially launched on the Google Play Store for $4.99 by Gameloft which includes an in-app purchase for faster progress. In the game, one can roam around a more detailed Manhattan city, and can take advantage of the open-world which will let gamers explore 6 various districts and fight thugs around the city. It comes with some high quality voice acting 3D cinematic action and cut-scenes and has some action packed aerial combats with other villains. It also includes some of the other iconic villains from the Marvel universe. The Game is packed with tons of unlockables, like the symbiotic Spiderman costume, and butt heads with villains like Venom, Green Goblin and Kraven the Hunter. Its storyline is completely different from the movie.
By watching this video, it was cleared that it is packed with full of action and is a 3D open-world adventure game.
It showed the spider-man web-slinging through buildings and fighting off crimes and enemies.
Gameloft had already posted a 40-second trailer video of the game on YouTube a few days back. It is based on the well known Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie which will be released in May 2014.
